Big Image at the Unconference hosted by Berghs School of Communication

On Thursday, Big Image took the stage at The Unconference hosted by Berghs School of Communication — a full day dedicated to creative perspectives on AI. In their talk, AI & the image - How to craft, not just generate, Alexander Andrae Schäfer, Sales Manager, and Amanda Crabo, AI Lead, shared insights from the intersection of scenographic thinking, AI, and large-scale visual storytelling.

Drawing from decades of experience in crafting emotional, off-screen visual experiences, Big Image explored how human curiosity, context, and craftsmanship remain essential — even in an AI-driven process. Through real-world examples ranging from theatre backdrops to immersive installations, Alexander and Amanda illustrated what it takes to move an image from good to unforgettable. It’s not about chasing perfection in pixels, but about creating visuals that truly resonate.

Big Image believes AI should empower creators, not replace them — helping push boundaries while staying grounded in artistic intention. The company has always been driven by a curiosity for visual storytelling, and is now just as passionate about exploring new tools as about the feeling inside the final image.

From prompt to reality, it’s still the human eye that decides what’s powerful. That’s why Big Image will keep asking questions, listening deeply, and letting purpose lead the way.
